Speedy Novelty – Adidas X 18.1 FG Boots
Finally, Adidas came out with something really useful, and not just another pack with new colors. Today we will talk about a new product that we really liked, since it combined the best developments from the German brand to date and received a new design. This is probably one of the fastest boot models out there, so welcome the latest release – the Adidas X 18.1 FG.
Visually, these boots seem to be ordinary, and we have already met such a combination of colors, but if you look deeper, it turns out that everything is not so simple here. We will not touch the coloring, here it is not for everybody. Someone likes it, some don’t like it. We personally like this coloring, but we want to delve into the technological part of the boots, because all the most interesting is hidden there.
Since the Adidas X 18.1 FG was based on speed performance, the designers needed to keep the weight as low as possible. They achieved this by using Speedmesh as the main material, which is reinforced in the forefoot area and additionally processed on top with a special synthetic coating for better wear resistance. The material itself breathes perfectly, weighs practically nothing and, most importantly, adaptively fits the foot.
The molded heel counter and the Clawcollar low-profile elastic sock are responsible for the fixation. We also note the presence of asymmetric lacing, shifted closer to the inner part of the foot, which frees up the area for better ball control.
Inside there is a perforated anatomical insole and shock-absorbing inserts in the ankle area. The Speedframe outsole also achieves a minimum weight, which is not only ultra-lightweight, but also excellent in stability. High-quality grip on the lawn is ensured by a well-thought-out stud configuration, where the front studs are pointed and the rear studs are rounded.
In general, the new Adidas X 18.1 FG boots are very successful, weightless and reliable. Liked the comfortable fit even without lacing. The boots sit on the leg like a glove, but at the same time do not restrict movement. Definitely a good model to be successful.
